Welcome to Beth El

Whether you have never visited a synagogue
or are now reconnecting with your Jewish faith, we welcome you to Beth El Hebrew Congregation. We invite you to drop in for a visit to sample events such as a worship service, holiday observance, class or seminar, or special program. If you'd like more information about Beth El please click here.

News & Events

  • Teen Coordinator Position AvailableSeeking an enthusiastic part-time #20 hours per month# Teen Coordinator beginning in August# Responsible for planning and executing social #including BEFTY-Beth El Federation of Temple Youth# and/or community service events for approximately 100 students in grades 9-12, managing the teen youth activity program budget# Must have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, have experience organizing events for Jewish youth, be able to be at the Temple one Sunday mornings a month, and be a visible, motivating presence in the Temple community#For details, contact bsmith@bethelhebrew.org
  • High school seniors, college students and recent college grads! Join the Cantor on August 6 for the Kolot Shabbat Service (Jazz Service) at 6:30 PM followed by dinner at Clyde's at the Mark Center to catch up on all the news. RSVP to Todd Bolick preferably by August 3 to be included in this fun night
  • Can for Cans Year-Round Food Collection: The summer collection is for the Carpenter's Shelter. They have requested cereal, chicken noodle soup, powdered juice mix, nutritional children’s snacks, 100% juice boxes, and ground coffee. Please buy one of these items the next time you go shopping and leave it in the Can for Cans outside the Beth El kitchen.


Key Events


Are you interested in learning more about our congregation? Please join us for Sunday brunch on August 15th at 10:30 a.m. at Beth El Hebrew Congregation. Meet the clergy, our religious school and preschool directors, and some friendly congregants in an informal setting. You will be able to ask questions while enjoying some delicious food. We'll have crafts for the children. RSVP by August 8 to Ruth Perlstein.
